Van Buren is a young artist from south Florida making what he refers to as sometimes “Sci-Fi” music. His songs are colorful and melodic as he aims to differentiate himself from the plethora of new talent floating up from the south Florida rap scene today. Raised on films such as Star Wars and anime like Dragon Ball Z and Death Note, he aims to paint a vivid picture with his music that’ll truly allow the listener to peer into his life and adventures.
“Pockets” is an upbeat, melodic record about shutting out the negative influences and focusing on the positive. It’s meant to be something everyone can relate to with a hook about living day to day with what you have while working to achieve more.
